Finally found the right Gibson for the job.One of the first runs-so spot the difference.Sexy black mahogany with lightening flashes on the neck too! Epiphone mahogany red SGs with CTS pots tweaked by Tompson Guitars and Dave Taylor Epiphones have Gibson Angus Young Signature or Seymore Duncan Pearly Gates pickups. Great fro the "If you want blood "era. Took ages to find a new Gibson to match these guitars. Need very heavy strings, particularly on the bottom to get that dynamic "If you want blood" sound. Rotosound or Ernie Balls Hybrids are currently in favour Cornford MK 50H valve top and cab I’ve been through the Marshalls and at one time was playing a late '60s 50W top + master volume 100W and 4 of 4x12 cabs plus a small guitar shop of effects pedals The Cornford does it all and more. It's very responsive to guitar volume and playing feel. Very exposed if you make mistakes but it let's the character of the player show through. Had major traumas with valve replacements but settled on agreat combination-didn't realise what a difference they made. It's quite a way from my first Fal phase 50 amp. I get asked about 2 pedals I use. They are definitely not effects. One is a Fender tuner-essential when constantly rhythm, leading and looning all night-even with tow rope strings. Pedal number 2 is part of the amp. It switches in extra valves I sometimes use that for solos ...but not always. No reverb or anything on the Cornford just what it says on the can Sennheiser EW372 G2S wireless diversity guitar system Influences; Angus, Jimi, Kossof, Zal (SAHB), John McLaughlin, Jeff Beck, Al De Meola, Norman Barret (Gray Train), Budgie
